ZUMBA is a fun way to move your body? Remember those high school dances and the line dances that got everyone onto the dance floor, or even at the bars? Well in my mind, ZUMBA is a lot like those line dances. In my mind that is what is so great about it, as I loved line dancing, not to mention the difference it makes on your body. What is also nice about ZUMBA is you can work as hard as you want. There are basic steps that you learn, then we add routines that I put together or bring from ZUMBA chirography and you work as hard or little as you want. Everyone starts out slow, learns the steps then you make it what you want. Don't worry about keeping up with the person beside you or moving faster than the person beside you, you go at your own pace. However, remember the more you pump it up, the more calories you will burn.

In this ZUMBA class we will focus on the first four basic ZUMBA steps- Salsa, Merengue, Cumbia & Reggaeton.

ZUMBA is a great work out for any age. As long as you are in good health and do not have a lot of restrictions, you should be able to do ZUMBA. We will work various parts of the body, with the two main areas to include cardio and abdominals. I have talked to a lot of people where ZUMBA has changed their lives. I have heard stories of people dropping pounds and inches like you would not believe.

My Story: I for one have not been doing it for very long, but I have reshaped my body which I would have never thought would happen as easily as just doing these fun dance moves. I gained a little extra weight last year after my mom passed and my IBS went absolutely crazy and I was eating way more junk food than I should have been. I went up a pants size and even my shirts were getting tight! Well I heard about ZUMBA being offered in Ashville so I checked it out and I absolutely LOVED IT! Thank you to Michelle Noggle for starting it. I did not notice much weight loss when I first started, cause it was the holiday season and everyone knows what is available to eat that time of the year! But even though I had not lost weight, by body was gaining muscle and was reshaping itself!

Then in January I started watching what I eat a little more closely. Yes I still eat cake/cookies/candy/etc. but in greater moderation that during the holiday season. Since I added this technique, I started seeing the pounds come off as well! I have sense starting using Herbalife products including teas and shakes with protein, and well that added little bit as also helped. I will introduce Herbalife to you once we get the classes and groups going in case anyone wants to try some of the products. Another key has been drinking water! I started drinking more water when I started working out then a rep from Herbalife came to talk to my ZUMBA class about water and I started drinking it even more. Now that is the main thing I drink all day long (and I have never been much of a water drinker). We will discuss this in one of our classes in detail as well too! I also have some great ways to spice up your water!
